Invisible Braces

Clear Aligners

Clear aligners are an invisible, easy to wear, comfortable orthodontic system. Its popularity is growing at an incredible rate. Quite simply, all you have to do is to wear the clear wafer-thin transparent trays which will gently guide your teeth from the present to the desired position. There are always do's and don't during any orthodontic (moving teeth) process.

Clear aligners could be the key to getting your confidence back, having that always dreamed of smile, and saying goodbye to crooked teeth. This discreet orthodontic treatment is ideal for adults and teenagers who want their teeth moving to their desired position without the metal brackets and wires!

Here at Oak tree, we listen to what you want to change about your smile and aim to deliver the best results in the shortest amount of time.

HOW DO CLEAR ALIGNERS WORK?

Clear aligners use clear Polymer trays to move teeth in small increments. Each aligner is designed to apply controlled force on the patient’s teeth.

HOW LONG DOES CLEAR ALIGNERS TREATMENT TAKE?

As with traditional braces, treatment times vary depending on the patient and how much movement is required. However, treatment time is generally about the same time as traditional braces, between 9 and 18 months.

Patients are asked to wear the clear trays all the time, but benefit from taking the trays out to brush their teeth, eat and drink, or on the occasional night out. With good patient compliance in wearing the trays, treatment guide times are usually accurate.

What are the benefits of clear aligners?

  • The transparent aligners are so clear they are almost invisible.
  • Clear customised aligners are more comfortable than other forms of orthodontic treatment.
  • There are no wires to tighten or sharp brackets that cut the lips and cheeks.
  • Clear aligners are removable so you can floss and brush your teeth normally during treatment.
  • They are easy to maintain and clean during treatment which make them more hygienic.

How much do Clear Aligners cost?

If you are interested in having your teeth straightened and think the clear aligner way is the way for you, please ask the Reception Team to book you in for an informal chat with one of our lovely dentists. They will be able to guide you and inform you if Clear Aligners can move your teeth.

If you would then like to proceed to full consulatation the fee is £150 which is deducted from the overall cost if you proceed with the treatment. On this consultation appointment, numerous impressions, photographs and sometimes an x-ray will be taken and sent off to the company we use which makes the clear aligners. We will also gather the important details from yourself about your main concerns and send this is all off to the Clear Aligner company we use to get a treatment cost and plan.

The cost varies depending on the extent of the treatment required and therefore can vary from £1000 for a simple case, to £4500 for a prolonged, complex case. We will of course advise you in this matter as we have experience in this area so you can make an informed decision, but generally clear aligners are cheaper or comparable to traditional fixed braces.
