Band 1 Course of Treatment |

This covers a routine examination/assessment, x-rays, advice on how to prevent future problems, a simple scale (if clinically necessary) and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealants. |
Band 2 Course of Treatment |
£75.30 |
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above plus any further treatments such as amalgam or composite fillings, root canal treatment, extractions, adding a tooth onto an existing denture and extensive scales (gum disease/periodontal treatment). |
Band 3 Course of Treatment |
£326.70 |
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2, plus crowns, dentures, bridges, inlays/onlays (anything that is made in a lab). |
Band 4: (£27.40) Urgent treatment / Assessment and Advice
This provides patients with urgent/ emergency care. Under this band you will receive diagnosis if possible on the appointment, Temporary dressings if deemed appropriate, and antibiotic cover should you need this. Band 4 is not a continuation of treatment, it is a ONE OFF/ ON THE DAY Urgent charge on the NHS. Sometimes we can add a course of treatment to a Band 4 claim but only certain treatment qualifies.
The charge for a Band 4 is always the same as a Band 1.
